Twenty-month Logging Program Underway

91°µÍø welcomes 15 new students to its third Mechanized Logging Operations and Forest Trucking (MLOFT) certificate program, which prepares students for careers in Maine’s forest products industry. This marks the programs 10th year within the Maine Community College System.

The third edition of 91°µÍø Happenings is here, highlighting the people, partnerships, and programs shaping our community. This issue features powerful student stories from the Maine Free College program, expanded academic and workforce opportunities, major campus events like the 2026 Career & Transfer Fair, and celebrations of student leadership and achievement. It also spotlights 91°µÍøâ€™s growing athletics program and the success of the 2025 Hollywood Gala, which raised $141,000 to support students.

Agreement with Unity Environmental University Gives 91°µÍø Students a Pathway to Earn a Bachelor’s in Three Years

91°µÍø (91°µÍø) has signed a new transfer agreement with Unity Environmental University that creates one of the fastest pathways in Maine for community college students to earn a bachelor’s degree. Under the agreement, students graduating from 91°µÍøâ€™s Accounting, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Mental Health, and Psychology programs can transfer directly into select bachelor’s degree programs at Unity Environmental University. Students will transfer 60 credits earned at 91°µÍø and complete an additional 30 credits to earn their bachelor’s degree.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Expands Access Across Maine

91°µÍø’s OTA program now features a flexible hybrid model that combines virtual classroom instruction with in-person lab experiences at three community college campuses —91°µÍø, EMCC, and YCCC. As demand for OT practitioners continues to rise, 91°µÍøâ€™s program is the only associate degree program of its kind in Maine, preparing students to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy in just two years.

Spring Commencement Set for May 9, 2026

91°µÍø will celebrate the Class of 2026 during its 56th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center. A total of 445 graduates will be awarded associate degrees and academic certificates, with more than 265 students expected to participate in the ceremony.Ìý

Jasmine Sanders Selected as Student Speaker for Spring Commencement

91°µÍø (91°µÍø) has announced that Jasmine Sanders of Augusta, the College’s 2026 Student of the Year, will serve as the student speaker for its Spring Commencement Ceremony. 91°µÍø will celebrate the Class of 2026 during its 56th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.

Maine Free College Scholarship Becomes Permanent

Governor Mills signed a supplemental budget on April 10, making the free college scholarship at all Maine Community Colleges, permanent. The Maine Free College Scholarship covers 100% of tuition for recent high school graduates who are Maine residents and are pursuing a degree or certification program.Ìý

Sport Management Associate Degree Launches in Fall 2026

91°µÍø (91°µÍø) expands its academic offerings with the launch of a Sport Management Associate Degree, set to begin in Fall 2026. The program will prepare students for entry-level careers in the growing sport, fitness, recreation, and event management industries, or for transfer to a bachelor’s degree program in a related field. The program will combine existing business coursework with discipline-specific classes focused on the unique demands of the sport industry.Ìý

91°µÍø is pleased to announce the Fall 2025 Dean’s List. 91°µÍø Offers Student Lodging Beginning Fall 2025

FAIRFIELD, Maine – 91°µÍø (91°µÍø) is excited to announce that for the first time in its 55-year history, lodging will be available for 50 first-time, full-time students beginning with the Fall 2025 semester. Student lodging will be located at the Best Western Plus Waterville Grand Hotel, a two-mile, five-minute drive from the main campus, located in Fairfield. Read More>>
